How should we spell Emerie Jo Gilliiam's First name??

Our babies’ skin is now covered with vernix caseosa, a greasy, cheeselike, white coating that protects their birthday suit from getting chapped or scratched. This week, the motor neurons in our babies’ brain -- the nerves that control muscle movement -- continue to develop, which means if Michelle hasn’t felt those first kicks yet, she will soon! There's so much going on these days, we may even be able to spot your babies’ gymnastics during a mid-pregnancy ultrasound -- usually administered between weeks 18 and 22. This checkup assesses our babies’ growth (the technician will begin to ID and measure the bones in their little bodies), let our doctor confirm or adjust  our due date.    it's amazing to see the babies’ kick, wave, and even somersault for the camera. You might also catch of them sucking a thumb or hiccupping. Plus, you'll get pictures to bring home for the brag book. We may have gotten pics at previous ultrasounds, but now our babies’ have got clearly identifiable features. This time, we may not need the technician to point out what you're looking at.

It's so worth it

Being pregnant can be exhausting (energy wise) but being pregnant with twins seems a little worst. I try to get as much sleep as possible because I have read that the most rest I can get, the better it is for the babies. I so enjoy getting up with my husband in the mornings and making him breakfast but I have to admit, it has gotten harder to get up. I feel so bad when I don't get up with him. I have been trying more to get up with him cause that's a great time for us to have alone and it's quiet, no kids yelling or fighting.....just us. I'm looking forward to that time even more once the babies get here cause that will be our quiet time, mommy and daddy's quiet time with our girls:). Some people may think I'm crazy to get up at 3:30am with my husband, but he's my BESTEST friend and I love spending that daily time alone with him :)

Tired!!

At the beginning of the pregnancy I was extremely exhausted. That finally passed and I regained some of my energy. But now that I've almost hit the halfway mark, the exhaustion is back. I just don't feel like I can get enough rest at night. I honestly don't even know if I'm sleeping good at night. Some nights I know that I toss and turn (from not being able to get comfortable), but others I feel like I did. It's probably just because the babies are getting bigger and more active and they drain my energy. It's worth it. I love my babies and can't wait to meet them one day.

What it is we are doing..

We are Michelle and Jason Gilliam. We are starting this blog to network with parents of other twins and multiples. This is what we are going to use as a journal, product review rating, and a place to "vent" frustrations with issues that arise with the twins. Currently we are in the second trimester of our pregnancy, thick morning sickness still on going, and recently found we are having girls! I can't wait to see what people post on our site. Thanks for visiting!! Feel free to comment of question ANYTHING! If you have tips and tricks as an experienced parent of multiples, PLEASE share!
